May 29, 2014: Bart Williamson will be attending the DIR Connect Technology Expo in Austin, Texas. DIR Connect brings DIR contracted technology vendors together with IT and purchasing staff from state agencies, local and county government, K-12 and higher education to raise awareness about all of DIR’s key program areas including Co-op Contracts, Data Center Services, Communication Technology Services, Security and Texas.gov.
May 29-30, 2014: Brian Sovik will be attending the 2nd Annual Emerald Coast Transportation Symposium in Pensacola, Florida. The purpose of the Transportation Symposium is to provide a forum for leadership in transportation to explore cross-organization collaboration, develop lastying local and regional partnerships, share best practices in transportation, and give innovators a platform to inspire others.

Our very own, William Cook, PE will be in attendance at the 2014 FICE Transportation Conference located at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, May 21-22. The Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) represents the professional and business interests of professional engineers in private practice in Florida and their companies, serving to advance the profession of consulting engineering. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) was recently awarded the Savvy Mapping Award at the AASHTO GIS-T 2014 Conference in Burlington, Vermont. The award was presented to them based on the State’s Bikes & Byways web application. CDOT contracted DTS to develop this application in order to provide aide to Bicyclists traveling throughout Colorado. The Bikes & Byways application provides cyclists with information such as:
- Location of Bike Shops, Restaurants and Welcome Centers
- Street views of actual road
- Alerts, road closures and detour routes
May 1, 2014: DTS is excited to announce the SunRail’s first day of free public riding starting today. We are proud to be a part of the dedicated team of staff helping to make this a successful ride for our Orlando passengers.
