Mitchell Jarrells, PSM - Director of Survey Operations

Background

Mitchell is a licensed professional surveyor and mapper in Florida and Alabama. He has a bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Mapping from the University of Florida and has more than 12 years of active survey experience and is an early adopter of the latest in survey technology, embracing LiDAR quickly. Mitchell has extensive knowledge and experience in many aspects of surveying, including boundary, topographic, hydrographic and roadway surveys. He is also trained in many new and traditional surveying equipment and software such as Survey GPS, Laser Scanner, AutoCAD, Microstation, Carlson Survey Software, TDS Software, Trimble Contoler, Grfnet GPS processing software, and basic Terra Mode.

Philosophy

Coming from a background in surveying, I have a great appreciation for the history of surveying. Being able to achieve the accuracies surveyors of the past could obtain using the equipment of the times fascinates me. Being able to use all types of new survey technologies to retrace in the footsteps of surveyors past and maintain the integrity of those surveys, makes my job challenging and exciting. I look forward to embracing the new technologies and applying to surveys past.
