Last week our Director of GIS Transportation Services, Brian Sovik, PMP, GISP, attended the Rural ITS Conference in Missouri and bumped into our friends at the Kansas Department of Transportation. Brian was able to catch a quick picture of their WICHWay application display banner. DTS assisted in the developement of this Intelligent Transportation System application for the highway network of Wichita, Kansas.  The application’s network has 35 closed circut cameras, 43 traffic sensors and 21 dynamic message signs to help locals navigate through the Wichita area.

Brian will also be attendig next weeks ITS World Congress next week, from September 7th through the 11th in Detroit, Michigan. Over 10,000 of the world’s leading transportation policymakers, researchers, high-tech innovators and business professionals will be in attendance and we are very excited to be a apart of the event this year!
